Ing. Miroslav Pivrnec
Course: Cost Surveying
Miroslav Pivrnec is a leading lecturer of the course Cost Surveying. Since 2016, he assumes the role of the Ministerial Councillor of the Construction Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, where he is responsible for assessing transport infrastructure projects, agenda of educational programs in the construction industry, and also co-operates on the programme of BIM implementation in construction. Prior to that, he has worked at the MIT as an external surveyor of construction costs of OP PIK projects. Miroslav is a specialist with more than thirty years of experience in technical and price management of construction projects both in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has worked, among others, in Metrostav, a.s., international consultancy offices such as GLEEDS, EDIFICE, PM Group, ARCADIS, etc. His major projects include the construction of the Prague tube (metro), co-operation in the construction of retail buildings, production, warehouse and residential projects such as Jaguar Land Rover Nitra, new buildings of the JKT Theatre in Pilsen, Tesco shopping centres, and other shopping centres in Central Europe and Russia. He has participated in the preparation of the project of the National Football Stadium Strahov, preparation of the construction of a recreational resort in the Maldives, and other projects. Miroslav has graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University.
