Course: Urbanism, Zoning and Sustainable Growth

 

 

 

Ian Bogle is lecturing the MBARE course Urbanism, Zoning and Sustainable Growth. Since 1995, Ian has worked for Foster + Partners. As the project’s principal architect, he was responsible for the construction of London’s 30 St Mary Ax (Swiss Re Tower, Gherkin) and Bexley Business Academy, which were awarded the 2004 Stirling Award by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). In 2002, Ian has joined the established British office Hamilton’s Architects and 8 years later he co-founded Bogle Flanagan Lawrence Silver Ltd. (BLFS). Over this period, the office has implemented, among others, the second-tallest building in London’s Southwar Strata SE1 (The Razor), a 148 meter high apartment building and the world’s first building with integrated wind turbines. Since 2012, Ian Bogle manages his own architect office, Bogle Architects, which includes branch offices in 15 countries, including its Prague office. So far, the most successful project of the Prague office is the international laser research centre ELI Beamlines, which has been opened in October 2015 in Dolní Břežany. Successful project of the London office include the world’s largest kindergarten ‘Early Years’ for 2,350 children in Singapore. Ian has studied architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, UK.
